Tudo começou como um projeto solo de Nicholas Jonas. It started as a solo project of Nicholas Jonas. "[12] The song was released on Christian radio, which quickly became popular on Record & Radio's Christian Adult Contemporary Chart. [10] While Nicholas was working on his solo project, Joseph followed his footprints on Broadway, appearing in Baz Lurhmann's production of La Boheme.

Until September 2004, an executive at Columbia Records discovered the music of Nick. [9] [10] Nick just signed a contract with INO Records and Columbia Records and released the single "Dear God." [13] [14] A second single, "Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer)" (a new solo recording), was launched on November 16. [15] It was supposed to be followed by a release of solo album in December, that the title was his name, but the album was pushed back, [16] did, however, get a limited release. [17] Nick, along with Kevin and Joe, had written several songs for the album [9].

In early 2005, Columbia Records with the new president, Steve Greenberg, listened to a recording of Nick. Greenberg did not like the album, but like the voice of Nick, but he adopted the only songs sung by Nick. [18] After meeting with Nick and hearing the songs, "Please Be Mine," written and performed by the brothers, Daylight / Columbia Records had decided to sign all three and make them as one of grupoDepois Nick Jonas have signed on Columbia Records, the brothers considered naming the group "Sons of Jonas" before deciding the name "Jonas Brothers." Throughout 2005, the Jonas Brothers went on several tours, including Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, Backstreet Boys and The Click Five. [9] [19] [22] [23] For the album, the Jonas Brothers have done covers of two songs from British band Busted "Year 3000" and "What I Go To School For." [18]

The first single of the Jonas Brothers "Mandy" was launched on 27 December 2005. The videoclip of the song was shown on MTV's Total Request Live on February 22, 2006, and reached number four. Another song, "Time for me to fly," was released on the Aquamarine soundtrack, also in February. In March, "Mandy" was made in the Nickelodeon film Zoey 101: Spring Break-Up and the soundtrack of Zoey 101: Music Mix, with Nicholas Jonas (Nick Jonas) listed as the artist name. [24] The group of music was also presented at the Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. The album It's About Time was finally released on August 8, 2006. [27] According to the band's manager, was only a "limited release" of 50,000 copies, because the Sony was not keen to continue promoting the band.

On October 3, 2006, the solo CD of Nick 2004, "Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)" was re-released on Joy to World: The Ultimate Christmas Collection. [28] Furthermore, in October, the Jonas Brothers made the cover of "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid. Along with a music video, the song was released on a double cd, disc special edition release of the soundtrack from: The Little Mermaid. The second single from It's About Time was "Year 3000". The song became popular on Radio Disney, and the music video was shown on Disney Channel in January 2007. In early 2007, the band left Columbia Records.
